Our racecourse features a meticulously maintained one-mile dirt track, as well as a beautiful turf course.
It’s the perfect stage for a variety of racing events, from heart-pounding sprints to stamina-testing long-distance races. The thrilling atmosphere, combined with state-of-the-art facilities, ensures that every race day is unforgettable.
Wetherby Racecourse is categorised as a small Racecourse and is independently owned.

The British Horseracing Authority or BHA are the official governing body of British Horseracing.
The Racecourse Association or RCA are the trade association for the 59 Racecourses in Britain.
Great British Racing is the sport’s official marketing body, working with all of racing’s stakeholders.
Under contract to the 59 British racecourses, RBC is responsible for the administration of racecourse bookmakers and the conduct of on-course betting.

What an exciting line-up we have for you this December.
First, we have our Christmas Brunch & Beer Festival on Saturday 7th December.
We still have general admission tickets available to purchase at the discounted online rate.
Then we have our traditional William Hill Yorkshire Christmas Meeting on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th December, where we have a marquee within the Paddock Enclosure, which hosts old-fashioned circus-style shows during the day, with juggling and fire eating!
We also have an adjacent marquee which has circus skills workshops taking place all day.
PLUS, there will also be some live music and other entertainment throughout the day.

We are racing! 🙌🏼 Today brings an exciting afternoon of jump racing action, where we celebrate our local and racing community partnerships.
Tickets can be purchased in advance up until 10am on the day. All advance ticket purchases include a complimentary racecard.
Tickets and racecards can be purchased at the turnstiles on the day by card payment only.

Wetherby Racecourse regularly supports @wetherbyinsupportoftheelderly offering the opportunity for their WiSE friends to get out and enjoy a social afternoon at the races and a catch-up with friends over a cuppa and a biscuit. ☕
We also work alongside @racingtoschool who bring children from local schools to the Racecourse for a morning of educational activities. 🚌
We are delighted to be able to facilitate days like this, and look forward to seeing everyone, young and old alike.

The Christmas Brunch & Beer Festival Meeting takes place on Saturday 7th December 🎄🍻🍺
⏰ Gates at 10.00am
🏇 First Race at 11.00am | Last Race at 1.58pm | Festival MQ & Bramham Hall Racing Hub Bars close at 4pm.
Grandstand Admission is just £17.50 if booked before 6th December and allows entry to both our Premier and Paddock facilities and includes a racecard.
The day features six exciting races from Wetherby, followed by away racing from Sandown and Aintree in the Bramham Racing Hub, whilst the Beer Festival Marque will feature beers from Yorkshire-based @theakstonbrewery @brewyorkbeer @bosunsbrewery
The Marquee also features fun games and competitions, and live music will be playing all day from @theblackmarcs @freddie_cleary and @thedunwells will be performing a set from 2:30-3:30pm.
A shuttle bus will operate between Wetherby Town Centre and the Racecourse between 10-11am and 3.30-4.30pm.
