William Hill Yorkshire Christmas Meeting – Important Information PLEASE READ
Following the announcement by the Prime Minister last week, and the publication of the Government’s PLAN B guidance & protocols on Monday afternoon (13th December), we have been liaising with the Local Authority regarding our revised operational plans for the William Hill Christmas Meeting on 26th & 27th December 2021.
We are delighted to announce that racing will go ahead as planned with Covid-19 procedures in place as follows:
- Admission to the racecourse on either 26th & 27th December will be by pre-purchased ticket only. We will not be selling admission on the day. We will continue selling tickets online up until 9.30am on the morning of racing. Please note that all hospitality and some enclosures are already Sold Out.
- All ticket holders aged 18yrs and over, will be asked to provide a valid Covid Pass (Digital or Paper), showing proof of Covid vaccination, OR if unable to do this they are to provide the NHS results from a negative LFT or PCR Test, taken within 48hours of the race fixture. This is in accordance with Government Covid legislation and is mandatory.
- The wearing of Face-Coverings (unless exempt) will be a requirement in specified areas indoors, when moving around the venue for all attendees aged 11 and over.
Further information regarding the full Covid guidelines including how to obtain your Covid Pass is available HERE
We will be sending out emails to all who have already pre-booked to re-iterate this information within the next 24hrs.
Please note that this guidance is applicable to everyone attending on the day including ticket holders, hospitality guests, annual badge holders, Owners, Go Racing in Yorkshire Season ticket holders, RCA badge holders.
There are additional protocols for racing participants and workers, which will be notified to them separately.
Obviously, our main priority is protecting the health of all racecourse attendees and minimizing the risk of COVID-related disruption and we would like to thank you for your continued co-operation during what is increasingly becoming a complex and difficult situation.
