The RacecourseGood food starts at the source and our caterers, CGC Events Ltd, pride themselves on their Yorkshire heritage which is reflected in their menus using fantastic locally sourced ingredients.
Alongside our hospitality suites and restaurants, Wetherby Racecourse has numerous public bars which all serve hot and cold snacks, a cafe, a coffee shop, as well as on-the go food served from one of our many outdoor catering units. On our feature plus days, we offer additional marquee facilities for racegoers which house pop-up bars and catering areas.
Picnics can be enjoyed in our grassed car park areas and within our Centre of Course enclosure.
Private Suites
Luxurious private suites are available on the upper floors of the Wetherby Millennium Stand. Each suite has a private viewing balcony which presents a superb panorama of the racing action and the finish post. Guests can enjoy a sumptuous three or four course formal dining menu or hot & cold fork buffet.
Our private suite packages, The Meyrick or The Montagu offer everything you will need for a superb and memorable day, and are available for parties of between 13-250 guests.
Packages include the use of a private suite with balcony viewing, VIP admission badges, reserved parking, complimentary tea/coffee, silver service or informal dining menu, race programmes, racing papers and a private bar facility. Access to tote betting is close to hand.
We also offer a range of ‘Finishing Touches’ to enable you to tailor our packages to suit your requirements.
Dine and View Suite
Our Dine & View package is an excellent alternative for smaller parties of between 1-12 guests.
Offering a private balcony and panoramic view of the Racecourse, Dine & View is a shared facility located within the Wetherby Millennium Grandstand.
Guests are welcomed into the suite with a warming coffee and biscuits and can then sit and peruse the racecard and papers prior to the first race. The Grand Buffet contains an array of seafood, salads, cold meats and pates for starters as well as a hot soup of the day, and the chef’s table provides a selection of main courses and accompaniments. You will not be able to choose just one from the array of wonderful desserts followed by the gourmet cheeseboard selection.
Dine & View is sold as a package which includes:
- Private table with panoramic views
- Balcony viewing
- VIP admission badge
- Reserved car parking
- Coffee & biscuits on arrival
- Four-course Grand buffet menu
- Race programmes
- Racing papers available within suite
Drinks are not included. We offer an extensive wine and champagne list and drinks are waitress served to your table. You can pre-order drinks by prior arrangement.
The White Rose Bistro
Situated on the third floor of our Premier Enclosure, with views across the Paddock, the White Rose offers an a la carte menu, offering delicious, freshly prepared meals prepared from the best ingredients, much of it sourced locally in Yorkshire. Our famous Wetherby Roast Beef comes from neighbouring Sykes House Farm.
The White Rose Bistro Package includes Premier Enclosure admission, racecard and private table reservation for the day, and also includes two-course’s from the A La Carte Menu on the day.
Although we often have availability on the day for walk-in diners, we advise pre-booking for larger groups and Feature racedays to guarantee availability.
On our Feature Plus Racedays, we offer the White Rose Restaurant Package in place of the bistro-package. This always sells-out so pre-booking is essential.
The Marston Moor Bar
Situated on Level 2 of the Wetherby Millennium Stand, the Marston Moor offers a view and direct access out onto the Premier Grandstand with elevated covered seating and standing areas to watch the racing action. As well as a traditional pint you can enjoy quality wines, prosecco and champagne, or grab a tea or coffee. The Marston Moor also serves hot and cold snacks, including Wetherby’s signature dish ‘The Flat Cap Wrap’.
The 1891 Bar
Situated on Level 3 of the Millennium West Stand, the 1891 bar offers on one side stunning panoramic views of the Racing action and on the other a fantastic birds-eye view of the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure.
The bar serves Premium drinks, hot drinks and snacks and serves our signature Yorkshire Flat Cap Wrap, a delicious twist on a wrap made with Yorkshire Pudding batter and with a variety of exciting fillings to choose from.
Please note that on some of our Feature and Feature Plus racedays access to this bar may be restricted for Premier racegoers until the start of the 2nd race. The bar on these days is offered on an exclusive Premier Plus package which guarantees purchasers of the package an early seat in the bar on our bigger days, with drink and bistro food included.
The White Horse Bar
Situated on Level 4 of the Wetherby Millennium Stand, this bar, offers an elevated view across the Paddock and Parade Ring. Often a quieter place to go to enjoy a drink, a warming cuppa, or a light snack.
The Bramham Hall
Situated on a ground floor with level access to the Parade Ring and to the main betting ring and Paddock Grandstands, the Bramham Hall is the hub of the action. Multiple Racing TV monitors, tote facilities and two bar areas mean you have everything you need to enjoy your day.
The Bramham Bistro
Located within the Bramham Hall within the Paddock Enclosure, the Bistro serves a wide range of hot and cold food including a selection of hot and cold sandwiches and baguettes, soup, snacks, tea and coffee.
The bistro also serves full hot meals; try one of the pub-style favourites such as steak pie and chips or beer battered haddock or if you are looking for something more adventurous why not select one of our Street Food Specials such as Chicken Satay skewers or Hoisin pulled pork or opt for a traditional Yorkshire deli boards.
The Henry Crossley Bar
Located on the ground floor of the New Millennium West Stand, the Henry Crossley Bar provides access directly into the Paddock and out onto the Betting Ring, and offers Tote betting and Betfred Betting Shop, a Coffee-Shop, and two bar areas, one of which serves hot snacks.
The Paddock Bar
Situated above the Parade Ring, The Paddock Bar, though one of our older facilities, is a favourite haunt for some of our more seasoned racegoers and a few trainers as well. Listen out and you might pick up some tips! The Paddock Bar may not be open on quieter racedays.
Snacks on the go
A range of quality food, snacks and drink outlets are located around the Racecourse Paddock Enclosure.
Regulars include Tom’s Coffee, serving a wide range of regular and speciality coffee, Charlotte’s Ices of Dewsbury, The Roast Inn, serving their fabulous home-farmed Pork Hog Roast, Chips & Things providing delicious portions of Fish & Chips, and Aberdeen Angus Beef Burgers.
